6-column Gab AI Deck recipe for talking-head explainers

Talking-Head Video lets you produce presenter-style explainers without booking a studio, lighting a scene, or finding a talent. Column 1 drafts the script; column 2 renders the avatar speaking it; column 3 auto-captions; columns 4–6 dub the audio into Spanish, French, and German in parallel. One deck per explainer — save it as a recipe to standardise the brand voice across every future video.

How to use this recipe

  1. Click "Use this recipe" to clone the 6-column deck.
  2. Write the script in column 1 — keep paragraphs short and conversational; the avatar reads it verbatim.
  3. Render the presenter video in HeyGen; pin the avatar style so future episodes match.
  4. Run Auto-Captions on the rendered audio for the English source.
  5. Dub into ES / FR / DE in parallel using the same script translated by a chat column upstream.

Talking-Head Video FAQ

Will the avatar look like a real person?

HeyGen produces photorealistic presenter avatars. Pick a stock avatar, or upload a custom one trained on a real human (with permission). Either way, the lip-sync is convincing.

How do I dub into more than three languages?

Add more voice columns — the deck supports up to 12. Each language gets its own translation in a chat column upstream and its own narration in a voice column.

Can the avatar speak in another language directly?

Yes — many avatar models support multilingual narration natively. Pin the language in the avatar column or run a separate render per language with the translated script.

How long can the video be?

60–180 seconds is the sweet spot for explainers. Longer than that and viewers drop; shorter than 30 seconds and you cannot deliver substance. Spec the runtime in column 1.

Will captions match the dubbed audio?

Run an additional auto-caption column per dubbed language so each version ships with its own SRT. Most platforms now auto-display localised captions when SRTs are uploaded.

Can I add B-roll behind the avatar?

Yes — add an image or video column to the deck for B-roll. Composite in your editor (CapCut / Resolve / Final Cut) for the final cut.
