Think through ideas in Chat with your choice of models and Bots. Make documents, spreadsheets, and slides. Create images, video, and music. Dictate messages or Work instructions, or start a live voice conversation in Chat. Your plan and credits apply across the app. Live voice requires Plus.

It starts with what you already have.

• Connect your folders — read, search, create, edit, rename, copy, and move files in your selected folder. Ordinary folders work too; Git is optional.
• Get finished work — turn research into a report, build a budget spreadsheet, or prepare a slide deck. Open delivered files, ask for revisions, and download the results.
• Organize projects in collections — connect a Mac folder to a collection. New Work chats use that folder; existing chats keep their own connection.
• Review Git changes — inspect staged and working-tree changes with text diffs inside Gab AI.
• Restore saved originals — review task changes, restore supported edits after a task stops or finishes, undo supported file creations and moves, and export local recovery history.
• Control folder access — choose read-only or read and write access, and change or revoke it in Settings.

Research a purchase, compare options, gather information from a website, or work through a task in an app you select. Work can read controls, click, and type as it follows your instructions.

For the best browser experience, use Brave or Chrome with the Gab AI extension. Work can use selected tabs with your existing sign-ins while you keep using other tabs and apps. Its pointer and Take over controls appear in the tab it is using. Safari and other supported apps use Mac app control; some actions need the selected window in front.

Browser and app control require macOS 14 or newer and a compatible direct-download Gab AI app. Content used by your task is sent to Gab AI. Set up browser and app access.

The browser extension preview gives you side chat in Brave and Chrome. Continue conversations and add page text to your draft, even without the Mac app. Download the extension preview. Installation and updates are manual. Keep the extracted folder. Follow the installation guide.

From first thought to next commit.

Bring your codebase. Ask Work to understand it, build a feature, or fix a bug. Choose a branch, run installed local tests and builds, manage development servers, and inspect the diff. Commands and servers have separate folder permissions. Your project tools and dependencies must be installed. Managed servers keep running after a Work reply finishes; use Stop server when done. Step away from your desk. Stay with your idea.

Start a project on your Mac. Continue the same chat from the Gab AI iOS or Android app. Remote brings shared folders and project chats together so you can send the next instruction and review the result when you step away.

• Connect your Mac — open Settings → Remote access. New setup automatically shares existing and future saved folders; exclude folders or make them read-only before pairing.
• Pair your phone — use the same account on iOS or Android, scan the QR code, compare the verification codes, and approve the phone on your Mac.
• Continue the same project — open Remote to find projects and chats, send a follow-up, review changes, or start a new Work chat in a shared folder.

Your phone and Mac can be on different networks. Keep your Mac awake and online with Gab AI open for file access. Saved chats remain readable when the Mac is offline. Remote connects to files on your Mac without copying entire folders to your phone. Remote folder tasks require a plan with Work access. Set up Remote or get the mobile app.

Review file changes and saved originals. After a task stops or finishes, restore supported changes with a connected folder and edit access; newer file changes can block restoration. Use menu bar access, native app menus, keyboard shortcuts, Finder drag-and-drop, and Mac file and save dialogs. Chat with your favorite models, create images, videos, and music, and keep bots and conversations in the same app. Explore the rest of Gab AI.

Your work. Your boundaries.

You choose the folders and apps Work can use. Folder access and browser/app access are separate choices. When Work requests approval, it waits for your response. Send new instructions, stop an active run, take over browser or app controls, or revoke access in Settings.

Gab AI uses cloud AI. Files it reads, and browser or app content used by a task, are sent to Gab AI and its providers. Recovery originals stay on your Mac. Recovery is separate from Git and does not cover every command side effect. Keep the Mac awake and Gab AI running and connected while a task needs local files, the browser, or selected apps. Closing the main window keeps the app running; quitting disconnects local access. Remote pairing does not grant local commands or desktop control.
