What's the best time of year for photos according to Damian Peach

Damian Peach emphasizes that the best time for astronomical photography, particularly for planets, generally depends on the position of the planet relative to Earth, rather than a specific season. For instance, good planetary imaging typically occurs when the planet is at opposition, meaning Earth is directly between the sun and the planet, which maximizes the planet’s apparent size and brightness. This can occur at different times of the year depending on the planet being observed. Additionally, clear, stable skies with minimal light pollution are crucial, and these conditions can vary greatly depending on geographic location and local weather patterns.
