Understand what context Gab AI sends to models and services, and how to manage saved data and access.
Gab AI processes your message through its model and service integrations. Depending on the task, the request can include conversation context, attached file contents, saved memories, project files, or information read from a connected website or account. Relevant content is sent to the selected provider to produce the answer. Personal information you include in that content is not guaranteed to be removed or anonymized.
Settings → Memory lets you inspect, add, edit, export, and delete saved memories. Use memories in conversations and Learn from conversations are separate controls. Turning learning off does not delete existing memories or disable their use. Temporary chats stay out of ordinary history and never create new memories; they can read existing personalization only when you opt in. Temporary mode does not prevent the model from processing the prompt you send.
Choose which files to attach and which Mac folders, websites, apps, or connected accounts Work may access. Files Work reads can be processed by Gab AI’s cloud agent and model providers. Plugin installation is separate from authorization. Disconnecting a service prevents subsequent access but cannot undo an action already accepted by that service.
Use Settings → General → Download your data for the supported account archive, or GET /v1/account/export through the developer API. Deleted and temporary chats are excluded from that export. Use conversation controls to delete chats, Settings → Memory for saved facts, and Settings → Account for account deletion. Review the Privacy Policy for retention, processing, and deletion terms.
