What Are Agents?

Agents are customized AI assistants with specific personalities, expertise, and instructions. Instead of starting from scratch each conversation, agents remember their purpose and behave consistently according to your specifications. Use agents to create a coding assistant, a creative writing partner, a language tutor, or any other specialized helper you need.

Creating an Agent

To create a custom agent:

• Navigate to Agents from the sidebar
• Click 'Create New Agent'
• Give your agent a name and avatar
• Write system instructions (the agent's personality and rules)
• Optionally add starter messages or knowledge
• Save and start using your agent

Writing System Instructions

System instructions define how your agent behaves. A good instruction set includes:

• Role — Who is this agent? What's their expertise?
• Personality — How should they communicate? Formal? Friendly?
• Rules — What should they always or never do?
• Format — How should responses be structured?
