How Gab AI works: Chat, Work, models and credits
Learn when to use Chat, Work or a creative tool. Practice turning a small project brief into a useful checklist, then adapt it without losing the original facts.

Use Chat for questions, drafts and a text plan you can refine in conversation. Use Work for a project with tools and editable files, such as a report, spreadsheet or presentation.
Choose the path for your task

Choose a model for your task
Use the model picker to choose a model, or let Auto route the request. Compare the supported inputs and tools when a task needs a particular capability.
Plans and request usage
Signup credits let you try eligible requests. Plus adds Work, live Voice and included default Arya in-app Chat; other models and tools use applicable credits. Pricing and Credits explain the allowance and access details.
Give the facts, read the result and refine it
Supply the source facts and a useful format. Read the answer or open the delivered file, then ask for a specific change. In the first-prompt example, a follow-up makes the call to action clearer while preserving the supplied times.
History, memory and instructions have different roles
Earlier turns provide conversation context. Saved memories can contribute relevant reusable facts when enabled; automatic learning requires Plus. Custom instructions guide the response. Temporary-chat personalization and collection scope affect saved context. Use the original source for exact facts and numbers.
Understand how context is processed
Gab sends the relevant prompt, attachments and enabled context to the selected provider through its own provider account. Personal details in that material may still be shared. Use the privacy guide to understand processing and account controls.
Can I use all Gab AI features for free?
No. Free signup credits fund eligible requests. Work and live Voice require Plus; gated models and media have additional access conditions and costs.
Does Work always produce a finished project?
Inspect the actual output and completion state. A plan, screenshot or progress message is not proof that a usable file or working project was completed.
