The chat interface is the heart of Gab AI. Learn how to have effective conversations, manage your chat history, and unlock advanced features.
The chat interface is where you'll spend most of your time with Gab AI. Simply type your message in the input field at the bottom and press Enter to send. The Super Intelligence will respond in the conversation thread above.
Press Enter to send a message. Use Shift+Enter to add a new line without sending. Press / to quickly access commands.
The quality of your prompts directly affects the quality of Super Intelligence responses. Here are some tips for better results:

of adopting senior dogs, targeting first-time pet owners.
Use a warm, encouraging tone."By default, Gab AI uses intelligent routing to select the best model for your request. You can also manually select a model using the model selector button near the input field.
Our default Super Intelligence is free for Plus subscribers in the app. Not included in API — API requests always use credits. Other models use credits based on message length and model capability. Check the Credits page for details.
Each conversation in Gab AI has several useful features:
You can attach files to your messages for the Super Intelligence to analyze: Click the attachment button (📎) in the input area to upload files, or simply drag and drop files directly into the chat.
Keep your workspace organized by managing your conversations:
Use Collections to group related conversations together for better organization. Great for projects, topics, or workflows.
Auto chooses a suitable way to answer. Some qualifying opening requests offer a Chat/Work choice before Work starts; choose the option you want. Work requires Plus and uses credits. Optional Work suggestions are for suitable multi-step projects, not a requirement to finish an ordinary Chat answer.
A temporary chat stays out of ordinary history and never creates new memories. By default it does not read saved memories or collection instructions; you can opt into personalization for that chat. Saving it to history makes it follow normal memory settings.
